Intersectionality is far more than just another buzzword that characterises the DEIB world. Since the jurist Kimberlé Crenshaw introduced the term at the end of the 1980s, it has increasingly become the focus of attention as a concept. This concept makes it possible to visualise the complexity and interconnectedness of life’s variegated facets and the resulting discrimination.

At this TOGATHERING on the occasion of IDAHOBIT 2024, we would like to focus on intersectionality and discuss its significance for belonging and allyship.

• Colourful diversity within the queer community – how can an intersectional approach be shaped within the community?
• How can corporate allyship be organised to do justice to the different facets of life in the company?
• What does an intersectional approach mean for ERGs and Networks?
• How do we create space and visibility for different facets of life within the company?
• Reflection: What privileges have helped us on our career path so far? How can we ensure that people who do not have these privileges have the same opportunities?
• How do we ensure diverse career paths that match diverse facets of life?
