TOGATHERING: QUEER MINDS AT WORK
with Accenture
Note: This event will be held in German.
Mental health is closely linked to the social conditions in which people live and work. For queer employees, stigmatisation, microaggressions or constantly coming out at work can often put an additional strain on mental health. To create an appreciative environment in which all people can realise their full potential, targeted strategies are needed to protect and strengthen queer employees and support their mental resilience.
In times of social polarisation and growing queer hostility, it is more important than ever to educate people about queer realities and create safe spaces in the workplace. This doesn’t just apply to HR departments or diversity officers – it is a comprehensive responsibility at all levels of a company.
At this TOGATHERING, we want to discuss together as a queer community and allys how mental health can be taken seriously and structurally strengthened in the work context. The focus will be on the specific needs of queer employees, effective measures to promote their well-being and an understanding of mental health as a central component of queer inclusion.
Together with PROUT EMPLOYER Accenture we cordially invite you to:
TOGATHERING – Think. Talk. Change.
Queer Minds at Work
Mental Health at Work
Accenture | Börsegebäude | Schottenring 16 | 1010 Wien
08 October 2025 | 5:30 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Together with you, we will find approaches and suggestions to questions such as:
- What does belonging mean in the work context – and how does it differ from mere conformity?
- What effects does hiding one’s identity have on mental health in everyday working life?
- To what extent can coming out in the work environment contribute to relieving or even burdening mental health?
- What role do queer networks and exchange formats play in dealing with mental stress in the workplace?
- What structural conditions are necessary to sustainably promote queer mental health in the work context?
We look forward to getting to the bottom of all these (and other) questions together with you in our interactive TOGATHERING.
