(Deutsch) Konferenz 2019

This year’s PROUT AT WORK-conference took place on the 18th of October in Stuttgart, thanks to the kind support of Presenting Partner Robert Bosch GmbH and Partner Deutsche Bank AG. In 2019, PROUT AT WORK repositioned its focus on the LGBT*IQ-community and added another facet: LGBT*IQ-Allies!

Before dedicating ourselves to a varied program, the evening before we presented the LGBT*IQ-Awards for the second time in the categories: Rising Star, Big Impact Initiative and Global Leader Network. This is a recognition of the work of LGBT*IQ-employee networks that are particularly committed to this issue in the workplace, and that demonstrate daily commitment to promoting a diverse, open and tolerant work environment!

LGBT*IQ-Allies: Ambassadors and allies make themselves strong where others cannot be.

What makes a person an LGBT*IQ-Ally and is an Ally always straight? How can LGBT*IQ-Allies be found and how can they be actively integrated? And what do LGBT*IQ allies actually need to feel supported in their commitment to LGBT*IQ equality?

Whether in the context of panel discussions, and exciting lectures, on different LGBT*IQ-relevant topics, by, and with, high-level executives, or breakout sessions that combine the aspects with practical examples – we answered these questions and many more at the PROUT AT WORK conference “LGBT*IQ-Allies”!

Among others, Deutsche Post DHL participated with a breakout session on the topic “Showing the flag: Challenge and opportunities. Supporters under the sign of the rainbow”. Microsoft and IBM presented their LGBT*IQ-Ally program, while Robert Bosch GmbH answered questions about Ally networks. The stimulating breakout session block was completed by Deutsche Bahn and Deutsche Bank, who presented their company-owned LGBT*IQ-networks railbow and dbPride Germany. Last, but not least, Audi, METRO AG, OTTO and Bertelsmann Arvato Financial Solutions offered exciting keynotes and informative panel discussions on other LGBT*IQ-relevant topics, such as blood donation and homosexuality or the role of out executives, thus rounding off the diverse offerings of our conference.
